We got a call from a friend that someone had to be hospitalized and was forced to leave behind their dog. Animal control kept her safe but would not be able to keep her for the length of time needed for her owner to recover. We were lucky enough to be able to get to her and place her somewhere safe that she could stay long term, we are currently on month number 10 and counting.
